Alexandria, Virginia – The Tarrance Group is pleased to announce the promotion of two partners within the firm – Bernard J. “B.J.” Martino and Katie (Handel) Sprenger. Both have been Vice Presidents with the firm for some time. The Tarrance Group, Inc. is one of the top political polling firms in the nation with a long history and client list among Republican elected office holders at the federal level and corporate clients ranging from professional sports teams to the leading energy producers in the nation.
“Our clients have been in good hands for a long time with both B.J. Martino and Katie Sprenger, and this is just a formal recognition of the fact,” said President and CEO of The Tarrance Group Ed Goeas, “they represent the future of this firm.”
In 2013, B.J. Martino was recognized, together with another partner at the firm, as Top Republican Strategist of the Year by the American Association of Political Consultants for his work helping Governor Scott Walker survive a recall attempt. Martino is noted for working to integrate the traditional methods of polling with more modern modeling of the electorate. He was valedictorian of his graduate program at George Washington University.
Since joining the firm in 2006, Katie Sprenger has focused primarily on corporate work for a myriad of clients, especially the energy and natural resource industries. Her focus has been on messaging development and strategic planning particularly for firms that face immediate crises. Sprenger is also a critical part of keeping The Tarrance Group on the cutting edge of qualitative methods and translating those findings into actionable information for clients.
Both new Partners will continue to work out of the firm’s corporate headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia.
